FAG | TMSB10 mRNA of higher molecular weight was identified in the testis of sexually mature rats (Lin-1991). This mRNA differed from the TMSB4 mRNA (GEM:0Xq2/TMSB4) only in its 5-prime-untranslated region, beginning 14 nucleotides upstream of the translation initiation codon. Lin et al. suggested that the 2 mRNAs are transcribed from the same gene through a combination of differential promoter utilization and alternative splicing." |
