The putative gene HCL2 has been mapped only on the basis of the linkage with MNS blood group (GEM:04q/GYPA) and complex hypotheses on the mode of inheritance of the red hair color (dominance with respect to light and hypostasis with respect to dark hair color). However, the alternative model of recessive inheritance with irregular expression in heterozygotes is not yet disproved." |
