In 9 of 19 (47%) cases of endometrial carcinoma, Safara et al. demonstrated loss of heterozygosity (LOH) for markers in the 10q23-q26 region. The pattern of deletion suggested a role for a tumor suppressor gene located between markers D10S587 and D10S216, a region spanning 2 cM and important for the development or progression of endometrial carcinoma (Safara-1997)." |
