COM	Ardell-1996 showed that CNCG beta locus on Chr 16q13 consists of two nonoverlapping transcription units and is capable of generating independent transcripts corresponding to N-terminal one-third of the beta subunit (the first 291 amino acids of GEM:16q13/CNCG3L) and the C-terminal two-thirds of the beta subunit (337 amino acids present only in the beta subunit: GEM:16q13/CNGB1C)."
