SUM	A IGLL1 gene formerly designated VPREB has been found to be highly conserved in many mammalian species (Kudo-1987; Bauer-1988). Its structure, which has been determined in mouse and man, shows regional homologies to variable regions of heavy and light chains of immunoglobulin."
HIS	The report of Bauer-1988 leaves the relationship of this gene to the basic VAR minigene cluster (FAM:IGL/22q11) unclear."
