Gene: [HIS1/07q] histone multigene family cluster 7q; (H2A1 H2B1 H3F1 H4F1)

SUM

[1] Data on genomic organization and regional chromosome location of histone genes are very controversial: of 11 genes registered in HGM9.5 (1988), only five were indicated as being mapped in subsequent issues of HGM and CCM92. All genes that were previously mapped to chr 7 (H1F1, H2A1, H2B1, H3F1, and H4F1) were excluded. The GEM catalogue reflects the situation with account for all reports, which results, taken apart, do not always accord, but in summary, present an approximate distribution of histone genes among chromosomes.
