PAT

In the clinical aspect, of interest is the report of Lowe-1988, which demonstrated that the 'ubiquitinization' of aggregating intermediate filaments (particularly neurofilaments) underlies the formation of various cell inclusions (Levi, Pick, and Mallori bodies; Alzheimer and Rosenthal tangles) in such diseases as Parkinson's disease, Pick's and Alzheimer's presenile dementions, alcoholic cirrhosis, thus being probably an important pathogenetic factor for these pathologies."
