Cloning and Expression

Ittmann et al. (1987) cloned human TSBN51, which complements the mutation of tsBN51, a temperature-sensitive cell cycle mutant of BHK cells that is blocked in G1 at nonpermissive temperature. TSBN51 encodes a highly charged protein of 395 amino acids.


Mapping

Greco et al. (1989) assigned the TSBN51 gene to chromosome 8q21 by study of rodent-human hybrid cells and by in situ hybridization using a tsBN51 probe.
