In the course of studies of a 66-kb segment in the HLA class II region on 6p21, Cullen et al. (1995) identified a recombination hotspot containing the following genes, in the sequence indicated: LMP2 (177045), TAP1 (170260), LMP7 (177046), TAP2 (170261), and HLA-DOB.
