By PCR analysis of human-rodent hybrid cell line DNAs and fluorescence in situ hybridization the Sp3 gene was mapped to 2q31 (Kalff-Suske-1996). The Kalff-Suske et al. noted the striking colocalization of each of the Sp factors with the homeo box gene clusters HOX A (FAM:HOXA/07p1), HOX C (FAM:HOXC/12q1), and HOX D (FAM:HOXD/02q31) on the corresponding chromosomes." |
