Gene: [19q132/PSG1] beta-1-glycoprotein, pregnancy specific 1; [PSBG1 SP1 ]

HIS

HGM9.5 registered the genes B1G1 and B1G2, which coded for so called beta-1-glycoproteins (pregnancy specific). These genes appeared to be homologous to the carcinoembryonic antigen gene (see Comment in GEM:19q132/CEA). It was originally assumed that B1G1 is located in chr 6 and B1G2, in chr X. However, HGM10 registered one gene (PSBG1) located in 19q13.1-.2 instead of those two, basing on data of Barnett-1989 and Niemann-1989."

COM

The GEM catalogue kept B1G1 and B1G2 genes, under new names, as presumed PSBG1 pseudogenes (GEM:06^/PSBG1L1, GEM:0X^/PSBG1L2)."
